Bear Recipient: Jack
On the 5th of August 2016, only 26 weeks into my pregnancy, we welcomed a beautiful baby boy due to preeclampsia.
Jack was born weighing a tiny 665 grams and 32cm long.
Jack spent a total of 5 months in the Royal Hobart hospital before coming home in late January to his home in Smithton on the north west coast.
Before Jack was born, my mum (Jack’s nan) organised to get a North Melbourne coloured bear made for Jack.
When Jack was about 8 weeks old, Campbell brought this beautiful bear to Jack’s bedside.
This was a truly amazing moment and I was so thankful for this amazing little boy who brought a massive smile to my face as well as my husbands!
Our beautiful champ Jack bear now takes up prime spot on Jack’s teddy bear shelf. It is a fantastic reminder of an amazing little boy who has a heart of gold 💙
